3 Gun Holsters
A holster is required for all 3 Gun competitions. You will be required to start most courses with your pistol in your holster so it is highly important that you have one. Make sure that your holster is comfortable for you and that it covers the trigger so that it cannot be bumped at all while holster (almost all holsters available today do cover the trigger fully). This is very important because you will often be running or moving from one position to another very quickly during a 3 Gun competition and your pistol will be holstered and loaded the entire time.
3 Gun Belt
There are extra stiff belts with Velcro that are specifically made for shooting competitions. Their stiffness makes drawing and hosltering your pistol faster and easier because the belt will not move up and down easily and loosely like a regular belt would. During a 3 Gun course, this will save you a few critical seconds that can add up over the course of an entire 3 Gun competition (consisting of 4-5 courses) and improve your score significantly overall.
The Velcro allows for quickly and easily adding shotgun shell caddies, pistol magazine caddies, and rifle magazine caddies.

These little babies will help you load your shotgun much faster during a 3 Gun course…and re-loading the shotgun is literally the slowest part in 3 Gun so any time saved on this task will pay huge dividends in your overall race time. They serve a couple of good purposes:

- They allow you to grab several shells at one time rather than having to grab them one by one.
- Having the shell caddies will give you the opportunity to become much faster at reloading your shotgun however actually getting faster will depend largely on how much you practice. It is important to learn how to load your shotgun rapidly while holding several shells in your loading hand at once. This critical skill will allow you to grab and load several shells at a time rather than grab them each one by one and load them each one by one while the clock is ticking in the middle of a 3 Gun course.
