About 3 Gun
3 Gun is the newest competition shooting sport that combines realistic shooting courses with your 3 most important weapons – rifle, shotgun, and pistol.
The competitions are challenging, but just about any gun enthusiast will find the majority of the stages to be within their ability. Excelling in the stages- now that’s a different story! Most 3 Gun competitions have 4-5 stages, and the scoring is time plus penalties. The time is recorded from the buzzer to your last shot. Depending on the association you are shooting with, the scoring and penalties are calculated different. Penalties include Failure to Engage (10 seconds), Failure to Neutralize (5 seconds), and shooting a No Shoot (5 seconds per shot).
